Restoration continues on the 1912 Deidrich Building in Stayton, Oregon. It is a double store-front, cast block structure with four commercial spaces on the ground floor and plans for five second floor apartments. The addresses of the stores are 193 & 195 N. Third Avenue.
In 2006 the building was nominated to the National Register of Historic Places.
The entire building has a monitored sprinkler system for fire suppression, linked to emergency lighting, interior sirens and lights and an exterior bell. All the rental spaces are separately wired for high speed Internet service. A modern gas furnace provides three separately regulated temperature zones. The building has been engineered and fortified for earthquake, including expansion of the concrete foundation and installation of an enormous foundation-to-ceiling steel brace, as well as other blocking and securing of walls to ceiling.
